NURSE PRACTITIONER

Professor Karen Hoare

Nurse Practitioner for Children and Young People

Karen is one of the partners at Greenstone Family Clinic. She is a Nurse Practitioner who specialises in caring for mothers, babies, children and young people. She can diagnose illnesses and prescribe medicines in the same way that the doctors can.

Claire Wilson

Claire completed her nursing studies at Massey University. She was born in Zimbabwe and grew up in Auckland. Claire is passionate about providing patients with high-quality holistic nursing care and hopes to continue enhancing her skills and progressing further in her nursing career at Greenstone.

Emma Porter

Emma studied at Manukau Institute of Technology and grew up in Auckland. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her animals and going to crossfit. Her special interests include child and youth health and mental health.

Haley Makere Smith

Haley was born in Tauranga and has been a primary healthcare nurse for over 10 years. She is now completing her final year as a Nurse Practitioner Intern. She is particularly interested in Youth Health, Mental Health and Addictions and Whānau Centred Healthcare.

Sela Ngahe

Sela is a registered Enrolled Nurse. She completed her studies at Waikato Institute of Technology in Hamilton. She really enjoys working in primary care as she is able to gain a broad knowledge and experience. She enjoys going on adventures and spending time with her friends.

Asha Madhanu

Asha graduated from UNITEC Institute of Technology. She has been working as a practice nurse for about six years. She enjoys working in a primary healthcare setting as it gives her more opportunity to explore different types of nursing skills and care.

Peggy Leat - Health Care Assistant

Peggy comes from a background of tourism working for Air New Zealand. She has decided to take on a new adventure in the medical field where she is currently studying counselling at Manukau Institute of Technology. Peggy loves travelling and spending time with her family.
