Urgent Influenza A Update
Influenza A is circulating widely across Aotearoa. We’re sharing this as a gentle reminder to help keep you, your whānau, and our staff safe.
If you’re feeling unwell with flu symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, fever, body aches, cough, sore throat, fatigue):
Stay home and rest
Keep hydrated and aim for regular meals
Paracetamol or ibuprofen may help with discomfort
Practice good hand hygiene to protect others at home
How you can help:
Virtual appointments are preferred to protect vulnerable patients and staff
If you may need a face‑to‑face review, let us know after your virtual consult — clinicians can arrange this if needed.
Call before coming in if you have flu‑like symptoms
Flu Vaccinations
We have 2026 flu vaccines available. Check funded eligibility here. Unfunded flu vaccines are $30. You can book with one of our Nurses.
Other Important Updates
Measles is currently circulating in Aotearoa and we need to be vigilant.
Two measles vaccinations protect about 99% of people.
The vaccine is free for under 18’s and for adults eligible for funded care.
Not sure if you’ve had two doses? We can help you check and catch up if required. Otherwise, go to here to obtain vaccination proof.
If you have fever and a rash, please call us before coming into the practice as measles is very contagious.
